David MacMeekin

After studying business & economics at the University of Western Ontario, Dave MacMeekin went on to enjoy an entrepreneurial career that included successful business ventures in both Canada and Japan. He credits his success to a solid grounding in personal & business finance coupled with his belief in the importance of nurturing strong, interpersonal relationships.

Recently, after 17+ years residing in Japan, Dave returned to his hometown of Ottawa to combine his passion for financial planning with a desire to also help others attain financial enlightenment; that peace of mind that comes from having a comprehensive plan to guide one along the highways & byways of life. He is presently completing his Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) qualification, after which he plans on pursuing that of Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

When not saving the world one enlightened client at a time, Dave is out exploring it alongside his wife; they are avid travelers who have visited many dozens of countries over all six continents. A mountain man at heart, he takes every opportunity to pursue his love of all things alpine, be it snowboarding, mountaineering, trekking, caving, canyoning, or even the odd bungy jump!
