Founder and President of Rethink And Diversify Securities Inc
Jason decided to form R&D because he has a genuine passion for “small business” entrepreneurship and he’s inspired by working with people that have passion and a clear vision for their company with a focus on executing that vision day in and day out.
Jason brings over 15 years of capital market experience from various roles at Raymond James, Wellington West, National Bank, Sentinel Financial and now Rethink and Diversify Securities Inc. Early in his career he saw a problem with how most Canadians were investing and saving their capital. He was looking for a solution to the problem and he found it in the private market space.
“We can’t solve the problems we currently have with the same thinking that we used when they were created.”
The private investment space is so important in our country and so often overlooked. Its rare to see a client’s investment portfolio that doesn’t have mutual funds in it. But far more rare to see one that does have a diversified allocation in private investments.
Job creation and economic growth in a local economy often depends on the entrepreneurs in the area. It’s always enriching to see the impact that our clients investments can make in a real tangible way. R&D allows average investors to access and participate in these types of investments.
There’s a true feeling of ownership when you make an investment in private capital. It can meaningfully benefit the people in that area for years to come in so many ways including employment and potentially creating new products or providing needed services for the people that live there. Of course, this is in addition to potentially generating an above average return for you as an investor which is in line with the increased risk of the often less liquid nature of these investments.
Jason combined his quest for a solution to a better portfolio structure with his love for “small business” entrepreneurship (private capital) and Rethink & Diversify was born.
Since inception, R&D has placed more than $300 M in exempt market securities.
Always Respect The Capital.
