Matthew Robidoux

Matthew has a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors in Accounting from the University of Ottawa. He graduated in 2004 and spent 10 years working as a Professional Accountant in the Public Service where he earned his accounting designations (CPA, CGA, CIA).

After joining a large group of renowned Real Estate investors, he discovered his purpose in life which is to use Real Estate to help family, friends and charity. This propelled him to transition and become a full-time Realtor to fulfill that purpose.

After four successful years in Residential Real Estate sales, getting his broker license and raising money for charity by donating with each home purchase and sale he found himself wanting to help more people invest in Real Estate. Although most individuals were not in a position to invest & manage rental properties themselves, the exempt market provides an alternative and more accessible way of investing. Thus, Matthew saw an opportunity and became a Private Equity Specialist.

Matthew has been investing in Real Estate since 2008 and has taken courses in residential rentals, apartment buildings, rent to own, adding in-law suites to houses & RRSP mortgages. He also completed a year long stock market value investing course with a notable Hedge Fund Manager in 2019. In addition to belonging to Scott McGillivray’s National Group of Investors he also belongs to, and is former treasurer of, the Ottawa Real Estate Investors Organization (OREIO). He is also a contributing expert to the No Sweat Real Estate Investing book.
